Right or Left out?

When you complete what people have expected you to, you are good. Otherwise, you are bad...People always expect to hear the truth..Not a lie...

Now what is good...Truth, isnt it???
And what is bad, a lie..??
So, when you tell the truth, you throw light on something, isnt it?
And when you lie, you make it dark??
So, good aka truth is light
and bad aka lie is dark.
Now, light in any sense of art is normally white....
So, light is white...
=>truth is white and lie is dark..
Now ...Aint dark, a place that is pitch black??
=> truth is white and lie is black..
Now, till here most people will accept what I said..
But then, what is the diffeence between white and black?? they are just another two colors on the palatte. Why does one exude positivity and the other negativity?

But, whenever we picture angels, we put them in white clothes, white wings in a white background and this is a general thought and when we think of satan, he is always in black, with an evil grin.
Now, here's a small piece of handwaving
White is a bright color and black a dark color..And both are opposites.. It is essentially these properties that have made me choose them as the symbols for truth and false.
Now, check yellow and violet..Yellow is light and bright.....And violet, is it's opposite...
So, please believe people in yellow and stay away from people in violet........
OR can it also be like....if people have hair, their head is black,....dark?
and if they are bald, it's ...uhm..white? So, we need to believe the bald..

Shit apart, what I wanted to propose was that both the factors, truth and lie, be given the same worth. That is, just because, you have down something true, you should not be put on the top of the world. What we need to realize is when one lies, it is not as bad as you think it is. Heads and tails....One and the same....There is no ultimate truth, no ultimate lie....Truth exists because somone lies and vie versa..Both are one and the same..

P.S.: kindly do not use this against me..

The threshold for 'goodness' accepted by society may be way different from your own threshold. So if white is good(reference:world), then white may be bad for you. Put a sharp line of distinction between good n bad things for yourself.

White and black analohus to good n bad ... but what abt a person like me who has a penchant for both .. can say
bodly good or goodly bad or whatever

No NO NO Shaan..it's an analogy...It's not about you liking the colors..It's about you merging yourself and identifying and associating something with truth.
@Amod: I did not say tht I am opposing normal commmunity thoughts..It's just that both should be accepted...When you like people who speak white, why do u hate people who speak black??

Whoa!! too insightful and heavy for me!!
but really, night is black and beautiful, but often associated with bad times, depression, gloom etc. Its all really very subjective. Its upto u as to how u perceive these colours and how u perceive truth and lie. not all lies are bad and often the knowledge of truth can be used for heinous reasons.
anyway, gr8 blog. u come up with sumthin different everytime!

I've got so many things to say so I'll write 'em down point-wise because that makes me think I'm a systematic, logical, articulate person and I like thinking of myself as a systematic, logical, articulate person. So.

1. Coincidence: Your post contains the words 'right' and 'left' and it's this right-left thing I'm confused about right now. Which of the three guys ARE you? The right-most one or the left-most one? Your claim: I'm the one on the left. Your friend's claim: Raj's the one on the right. Who's got his navigational basics wrong?

2. Technical point: White and black aren't really colours. 'White' is what you get when you combine all colours, and black is what you perceive in the absence of any colour. Yes, no?

3. Serious crap: I think this white-black symbolism stems from racial prejudice, which has been handed down to us as part of colonial leftovers (after, of course, being stripped clean of racial overtones). Which is why 'white' stands for goodness, fairness blah blah and black has come to symbolise evil, undesirability & more blah blah. [Contradiction: Then why did Krishna whine about his dark complexion singing 'Radha kyon gori, main kyon kala?' waaaay before the gora-babas made their way into India? Answer: Dunno. Shut up. One ajeeb-sa question is not gonna make me delete all that lovely crap I wrote about racial prejudice. So shooo.]

4. Truth and lie depend on your perspective. And I don't really give a damn. Unless somebody lies to me. THAT is Baaad.

abe i tried giving height and realism to ur analogy .....
ne ways "u r god "
white is good , black is bad ..
but then good and bad are realistic ... what apparently is good for me and u (considering u god) is not good for some1 else (i call him d devil).. so i think black and white switch there analogus positions too ...
:) . i kno i hav gone insane .. but that i always was

oye.. am in a hurry.. so will give a detailed response in (a) comment later (b) in my blog

but what i said earlier stands true.. you have started thinking before posting.. so is this the end of the world as we know of it?? :o

::Looks in disbelief::
Raj potraying such deep thoughts comes as a surprise!!
BTW The analogy is so true, we just associate ourselves with these things but without realizing that in absolute terms nothing is really right and really wrong. Its the way one percieves things. Hence i agree both shud be taken in the same light.

@Amiya: Mixing colors will always give a color...so, white will remain to be a color and so will black...
And about the foto, Lets put it like this. The guy holding a thing, a wierd thing made of wood, is me.Now whther that is left or right, U decide :P
And c ..V r not ready to accept lies..But, truth...v wont more of it...I am not telling you that I am against this or I'll walk away from the community, but just a small window I wanted to show everyone

And Arpit, thnx a lot for ur valuable inputs to this post ...remember wen v were tokin about this in ur room

wow! raj the philosopher is it?!
good going, dude! u've hit the bulls eye with the examples u chose to portray the analogies!

abbe devil (i mean the cute ba***rd on ur left sholder) is generally Red in color and and has red horns. now change your color coding and redefine....hehehehe
btw what was the context?

Gururaj said...

That is done, I guess, to make the devil look like a source of anger, fire, REd represents that, doesnt it???
But yet, if you rememer his environment is generally red and black..
Red ...not for evil, but for anger..
And red , mixed with black, a shiiny, bit dark red color is a mixture of anger and evil..
I guess, wat say u??

P.S. While I do not think truth and lies are relative, I do agree to the philosphy that good and evil are.

No dude, the color codes do not come from something as simple as racial prejudice. They share their roots with Aura-analysis.

When white stands out in the aura, this is indicating pure pranic energy, life force, truth and purity of spirit. This has been seen in yogis and gurus. It indicates that the energy of the individual is purifying and cleansing and of the greatest spiritual awakening. White speckled lights in the aura are a sign that spirit and healing energy are present.

On the other hand, black aura in most cases means illness. It most definitely can indicate illnesses, diseases, injuries, and can indicate emotional imbalances such as depression. It is a warning sign in most cases.

People advanced in mind study could figure this out and Aura was an important aspect of mind study in Vedic culture, Buddhist cultures(Japanese, chinese, Thai and the like) and thats the reason White represents good almost UNIVERSALLY.

One more thing, the color of the skin is totally different from Aura. The skin-color is complexion or charma-rangam while Aura is halo or Tejas. Though Lord Krsna had a dark complexion, in Srimad Bhagvatam his Tejas or Halo is recorded as Golden-Yellow and white (two layers)
