Satish and Asus have brought together an Asus Xtion Pro live to me finally. First hours of experiments include hooking it up with OpenNI gods to get depth maps. PCL comes next and it has quite a depth of applications. I will have to go through some tutorials to get some hands on experience with 3D at home. Yay!
